Hi!
Here’s some tools I’ve used to help me find my personal style.
These are all just guides and ideas about what may work for you.
I’ve used them to help understand why I feel good in some things and not others, but I’m not using them as rule books.
Knowing your personal style means knowing yourself. I love this TikTok from Payton Dale who sums this concept up in one minute. Start there!

Understanding your body type
Many people suggested I do the Kibbe body type test, which I initially resisted as it looked hard, not very diverse or inclusive and labelling bodies seems a bit problematic.
However, I have found the results of the quiz useful when understanding why I gravitate to some things (tailoring, cropped trousers) over others (flowy, oversized clothes) to feel like myself.
Answering the questions in this test is not easy (I got it completely wrong the first time!). So here’s some guides to help you understand the Kibbe theory further:
A video overview of the body types
A video of diverse women taking the test (including criticism of the lack of ethnicity and size representation in Kibbe examples)
A TikTok account to follow to learn more about Kibbe body types
Understanding your colour season
It’s useful to understand the theory and the parameters that go into the analysis
Try some quizzes and see if you get a consistent result
Colorwise.me (this one asks you to upload a photo and pick out your hair, eye and skin colour)
Once you have an idea of your season, you can go deep into the guide for that season
Here’s my results.
I’m not affiliated with any of these sites. Some do offer paid services or products, but I have not tried any of those.
